What’s the purpose of window tint?

Does tint interfere with my phone?

What if I provide the film?
We can price you for installation only but we will not offer a warranty. We just ask for the brand of the window film.
Do you remove window tint?
Yes, we do remove existing window tint. We advise customers to bring in the vehicle for inspection first if it is excessively bubbling. On rare occasions does it happen that the film can be difficult to remove due to such defective adhesive and the defroster lines may already be damaged. We would recommend purchasing a new back glass if the removal is not possible.
How long does the install take?
Normally about 4-5 hours for full completion. Installation time depends on the number of windows being tinting.
How do I take care of it?
For cleaning tinted windows you want to use alcohol-based cleaners. Avoid abrasive or ammonia products. This will ruin the film and cause it to fail.
What kind of film do you use?
We carry Llumar FormulaOne window film. All films are 99.9% UVA/B protectant.
Why is my tint purple?
Different glass does have a hue that gives off colors such as green, brown or blue. Once you tint your windows the film itself can seem to give off a different hue depending on the factory glass. Or it can be a sign of discoloration in the film which means it can be failing.
What Is Paint Protection Film (PPF)?
Paint Protection Film (also known as clear bra) is a self-healing film that protects any applied areas from rock chips, scratches, stains or swirls caused by road debris, bug droppings, and other environmental factors.
Will PPF Really Stop Rocks From Chipping The Car?
Yes! The material was originally designed to stop chips on rotor blades and airplane propellers. It is much easier for the product to protect your vehicle’s paint than a propeller moving at nearly the speed of sound. That being said, you will always get the best results with PPF when the car is brand new. It will prevent new damage from occurring, but it will not undo existing damage.
What Is The Difference Between A Ceramic Coating And Paint Protection Film?
This question is best answered by getting rid of the words “Coating” and “Film” and replacing them with “Liquid” and “Plastic Barrier”.
Ceramic Coating is a liquid, and is applied from a 50mL bottle onto the surface of a car. It can be applied to any surface – paint, plastic, rubber, glass, and fabrics. The liquid is smoothed, buffed, and eventually hardens into a shell over the surface. While the coating will help resist fine scratches, this hardened shell is approximately 100 times thinner than Paint Protection Film. The main objective of a Ceramic Coating is to enhance the shine of your paint and take all of the hard work out of washing it and keeping it clean. A Ceramic Coating will not stop rock chip damage or deeper scratches from reaching the paint on its own.
Paint Protection Film is a dense plastic barrier that can only be installed on painted surfaces. It cannot adhere properly to plastics, rubber, glass, or fabrics. PPF is so thick, that it becomes a sacrificial skin for your paint – stopping the vast majority of damage caused from rock chips, scratches, swirls, and other forms of wear from ever reaching your paint. If a panel of PPF needs to be replaced from rock chip damage, the cost to do so is a fraction of the cost of otherwise repainting and unprotected panel – and it still allows you to maintain your original paint in perfect condition.
Installing PPF in conjunction with a Ceramic Coating will allow you to reap the full benefits of both services.
Which Product Is Installed First: Ceramic Coating Or Paint Protection Film?
In our order of operations, the Paint Protection Film is installed first to seal in the condition of the paint. A Ceramic Coating is applied after the fact, so that you can experience the full effect of the coating on the true exterior of the vehicle.
What is a car wrap?
A car wrap is a decal or large vinyl graphic applied on the surface of a vehicle. It is used to change the way a vehicle looks on a temporary basis, as the wrap may be removed if necessary without altering the car’s original paintwork.
Can I choose to wrap just a part of my car?
Of course! If you want to add racing stripes or have a chrome hood, our partial wraps service is just for you. Anything less than a full car wrap is considered a partial wrap. For partial wraps, we can use digitally-printed graphics or cut vinyl text and logos, depending on the design you want and your budget.
Will the wrap damage my vehicle’s paintwork?
Not at all. The car wrap will even protect your OEM paint. However, if the paintwork is not in good condition to begin with—for instance, if paint is chipping off—then the wrap may pull off the chipping paint when it is removed.
How long does the installation process take?
Vehicle wrap application is usually done in 3-4 days, depending on the vehicle type, size, and the complexity of the wrap. Of course, it would take a while longer if we’ll be wrapping a whole fleet! We’ll let you know when to expect the job done before we begin the installation. One thing’s for sure: it takes less time than a paint job!
Help! I think I damaged my wrap!
Worry not! You can have the damaged panels replaced. There is no need to redo the whole wrap if the damage is limited to certain parts of the vehicle only.

How do I maintain my ceramic coating?
Before ceramic coatings were introduced to the mass market, keeping your vehicle clean was a major chore. The cleaning process is greatly simplified with a coated vehicle.
Regularly rinsing the exterior with a pressure washer (below 2000 PSI) and drying with a leaf blower is a 15-minute process that will melt away dirt and debris with minimal effort.
Every 4-6 weeks, it is advised to perform a full wash with a silica-infused soap. When applying a microfiber wash mitt to the surface, you’ll find that you no longer need to do any hard scrubbing – and that the mitt will effortlessly glide across the surface to easily remove dirt and grime. The warranty of a ceramic coating is maintained through an annual inspection where we perform an exterior wash, an inspection of the work performed, and an enhancement of the coating through the application of a ceramic boost treatment. How long is the PPF warranty?
Our XPEL paint protection warranty is 10 years. Our Llumar Valor PPF offers a 12 year warranty which covers any defects with the film. (bubbling, yellowing, peeling)
What if I lose my warranty card?
You do need the warranty card to process a claim. We can process your claim with a copy of the warranty card as well.
Does the warranty cover glass breakage if my car is broken into?
Unfortunately, the warrant does not cover glass breakage.
